Hi All

I'm entirely new to astronomy but planning on taking it seriously when I retire ( in about 10 years)

My Celestron C6 SGT and CG5 mount are due to arrive before 12:06 today to say i'm excited is an understatement.

Any advice, suggestions, pointers would be much appreciated

Hi David and welcome to the forum. AS I write this message I am hopeful that you have taken delivery of your new kit and that the weather will play along for you to get started - fingers crossed! :grin:

Hi David and welcome to SGL, nice scope and mount, it may be worth a trip up to the big city as the Baker Street Irregulars have meetings in Regents Park each month, where you could probably gain some quite helpful information :)
