I have read both Astronomy Now and Sky at Night. Recently subscribed to Sky at Night (before I read Astronomy Now), however thinking about getting an Astronomy Now Sub as I found it slightly more interesting, and its cheaper.

These magazines are a little specialised for corner stores but you should be able to find at least the two magazine titles mentioned above in most magazine shops like WH Smiths for example but larger supermarkets all stock them.

Both the above magazines are decent!

there should be one called clouds at night thats all i seem to see lately

Indeed! It would be one dull mag though.

I do like The Sky At Night and Astronomy Now. The Sky At Night came out yesterday around here so should appear (in a dark corner) at your newsagent imminently

I've found even good-sized supermarket branches sometimes don't stock them, it depends on the chain but they're less common than say New Scientist. That said a decent-sized branch of Smiths will usually have the British pair (Astronomy Now and Sky at Night) and also the American pair (Astronomy and Sky & Telescope).

I haven't purchased a physical astronomy magazine in years. They take up room and normally end up in a big pile tossed away in a cupboard. Especially now we have the Internet and the wealth of reading and video material at our disposal one can really stay up-to-date on the subject. I'm all digital now and I'm subscribed to a magazine called Space at only £2.49. They haven't been going as long as the other magazines but apart from their printed format, at least they've transitioned to to the digital format. I can now take all my magazines wherever i go now and read them on my iPad.

+1

Learn more on this forum than any magazine. That said, I occasionally buy S@N if there are good articles in it. Bu I take the reviews with a pinch of salt.

Just subscribed to sky at night mag, £5 for 5 issues, dont understand most of it though,

just have it for the pictures not the articles, the opposite to the "other" magazines in the news agent

Where did you find that offer? I've looked on their website and cant see a good deal as that.

I get Sky @ Night on subscription. Being just a visual bodger there is more here to do with observing than other mags.

Sainsbury's here are stocking Astronomy Now, it doesn't take long to note anything of interest . I always put it back on the shelf after a free read in the cafe !

I read Sky at Night magazine. I find it easy reading and useful each month. Also nice to have an interactive disc to load into your computer for each issue. I also know that almost any newsagents would be helpful and great full to get you a copy ordered into there shop for you whether they sell it on the shelf or not. Just search around online for them, find one that catches your attention and ask for a copy in your local. Then if you've enjoyed it, go back and ask them to reserve you a copy each month.

I did it last month, just checked and its changed again as you get a "free" book now but the price has gone up..

Keep checking as I get digital photo as well and that was 6 issues for £6 but only on for a limited time.
