Meet Up

Well let's start this off again. Who's up for it ? Lets just say everyone meet up for a drink first ?

In terms of somewhere to actually meet up, is Luton/Dunstable a mutually inconvenient place?

I'm around Hemel Hempstead, so somewhere a little further south, like Wheathampstead, Harpenden, Luton or Dunstable would be preferable, but Hitchin is do-able.

Any day is good with me - currently writing up my PhD, so I can change my working hours to suit.

Evenings after work are probably best for me. Luton, Dunstable or Hitchin is fine. Will look into how long it takes to get to Wheathampstead or Harpenden as I'm not sure.

Hi Folks,

As we appear to have agreed to meet up, may I start the ball rolling by suggesting the following.

Looking at the locations of some of the interested parties, from Luton, Hemel, Stevenage, and further East, I think Wheathampstead is roughly equi-distant from most of the points.

So how does the:

Elephant & Castle, Amwell Lane, Wheathampstead , AL4 8EA

And date: 23 April 2013 at 21:00 (9.00pm gives people a chance to get home from work and out).

Open to other suggestions.

That gives us three weeks to final the details.

Okay, can't do 23rd as husband is working in London that day and won't be back in time to look after short stuff for me to get there. Also 21:00 is a bit late for me if it's just for drinks and a chat. Would be looking to meet around 19:30/20:00. Sorry if that's a pain.

this early, could always join us later in the evening.

So how does the following fit:

I think that once we have an agreed place, date and time, then we could put a new thread

on with the finalised details.

Arranging the first meeting is always difficult.

Well unfortunately despite my enthusiasm to come along I can't. I have a bit of a mercy mission to Liverpool that I have to do so I hope you all have a good night. I shall keep my fingers crossed that there will be another meet and I will be able to come along to that one.
