Tracking 2012DA14

Recommended Posts

Hey kids,

this might seem like a dumbass question but would an NEQ-6 Pro be able to track the asteroid 2012DA14?

if so how would you go about setting it up?

if not, how would you go about seeing it anyway?

I'm no expert but it might be able to be done with eqmod in conjunction with program's such as stellarium or CdC? (with asteroid orbit data uploaded)

Hopefully some more knowledgable folk will confirm

As it happens I've recently added to EQMOD the ability to perform tracking from an ephemeris table held in a tracking file.

To try this release (V1.27d) you would need be an EQMOD group member in order to download the install file. Also be aware this is a test release issued for testing - so don't blame me if you miss the asteroid when using it!

Chris.
