2012 Solar imaging showcase

Please use this thread to showcase your best images captured during 2012. Just one post per member but you can include up to 5 images if you want.

The thread is for all imagers novices and advanced. Hopefully we will be able to do the same again next year. Over time we will be able to see the progress which is being made by individuals and as a forum.

Please keep details to a minimum - scope and camera possibly along with a few comments.

The thread needs to be packed with images so please don't respond to the postings

Only one post per member so I'll do it this way . . .

My Whitelight Solar Images from when I started in June 2012 til the end of the year.

All with 1000D through ED80Pro or ST120 and Baader ND3.8 Film.

Best viewed in HD and Fullscreen.

One from each of September, October and November. 450D/127 Mak/EQ3-2 with a home-made Baader film filter, processed in PIPP and Registax with false colour added in Photoshop.

All images should link to larger versions.

The Venus transit at sunrise using a Canon 450D and 70-300mm lens at 300mm.

This was my first avi using the DMK41 and unmod PST, after about 2 minutes you can see an M1 flare developing. I haven't had the chance to try with the modded PST since June.

And a processed image from the same imaging run as the vid above.

Hoping to improve this year.
