Hi everyone,

Bought a telescope a couple of weeks ago and have finally been able to use it now after a couple of clear skies! I browsed SGL alot for advice before getting one so thought I should probably join as I'm starting to realise there's alot more I need advice about (mostly stargazing related)!

Hi thanks for the welcome. I went for the Celestron Omni 120 in the end. Living in pretty much central Birmingham I was surprised at how much I could actually see. That said I'm looking forward to getting away soon to some darker skies.

Mainly I'm after a decent 2x barlow so have been browsing that section of the forums recently. Seems like a lot have been discontinued.
