Astounded by Pleiades

went to it today, more by chance.

1st time properly out and was looking at Jupiter and wondered what the fuzzy thing to the right of it is, and was amazed with just how bright it all was when focused on.

only using the kit 10mm and 20mm but was quite happy with it

Its one of the finest Binocular objects i've seen, and its so easy to find (which is always a bonus lol)

I've never heard of the "snake???" though, guess i'll have to have another look

I had a look with my ED80 and a 40mm Aero the other night. Truly beautiful.

It is a stunner. I always have a look at it with my 15x70s when I am out observing in the winter. Best view has been with my 80mm frac at 22x, high up in the Alps. The reflection nebula showed clearly.
