Pentax smc XF eyepieces.

I have just taken delivery of my new Pentax eyepieces.An 8.5 and 12mm.I am going to use them with my 10 inch newtonian when it comes,I cannot wait.I will give a report when I get them under the nightsky.Anyone use these?

Had the 8.5mm for a while Martin, lovely little eyepiece! It sat between my 7 & 10mm XWs and held its own in all but fov. You won't be disappointed

The XF8.5 was my first Pentax. It beat the TV Radian 8mm I had (not by a large margin, but still). I now also have the XW 7 and 10, and they are all great. The XF8.5 is my favourite solar EP.

Isn't it strange how people differ? I didn't like my xf it had a fair bit of false colour and bad reflections. I assumed they were all like that but maybe I got a duff one

I felt like that about Radians...I guess it would be a boring world if we were all the same though.

How true. I love my Radian (the only minus point is it's a little 'warm' in tone). Well we all have different eyes and personal preferences. It makes for a colourful world

Thanks for all your comments.I have kept a couple of my orthoscopics,I do like them.But the extra fov offered by Pentax would be helpful in keeping objects in the field of view when I get my new dobsonian.Mike I really like the lunar sketches and have book marked you site.
