Uplooker
Hi All,Could someone please tell me what the thread is for on the rear of the focuser assembly. To clarify, it is located on the 2" focuser tube that remains having removed the 1.25" reduction collar. It is on the RHS of the picture. What size thread is it.I am sure someone will come along with the answer and I will feel a complete numpty for not having realised what it is Please put me out of my misery.Ian
daz
I would think it's something like an SCT thread or T-thread?The latter would allow direct connection to a camera fitted with a T-adapter, the former to use SCT accessoriesI don't know TAL kit so could be well wide here.... AndyH
I believe it's M56x1. I haven't measured it myself, but have read on more than one occasion, that it's this size.
AndyH
I think you can mount one of these on the thread........... (using that shop as an example)http://www.teleskop-express.de/shop/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=M56&suchdas=OKI think many of the skywatcher n celestron refractors have this thread also? At least that's what I found when I put M56 into the SGL search.

Just ignored them I'd guess that the thread on the end of the 2"-1.25" adapter is M42x1 and there's a M42x1-M42x0.75 adapter ring included?
