AZ-4 head on a Berlebach

Morning all

Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to remove an AZ-4 head from the SW tripod and attach it to a Berlebach with Vixen GP style top plate? the same model as FLO sell.

Might be an idea to contact FLO about this ,

I recently acquired a Berlebach Planet and had to modify slightly to fit my HEQ5ro to it , but it was S/H so not sure what a new one is like..

I originally purchased the wrong Berlebach over a year ago. I bought the UNI 24 here which has a 3/8" or 1/2" screw thread but found I needed the UNI 28 which had the Vixen GP mounting plate for a CG5-ASGT.

They are the same tripod with a different plate, I used the contact email on the berlebach site for a replacement plate and they sent me a replacement Vixen GP plate for approx 108 euro inc P&P. (they have english speaking people so the process was quite smooth, just sent a couple of pictures showing what I was looking for). The metal plate is detachable from the legs. I now have a telescope tripod and a very heavy duty camera tripod !

How does the AZ-4 screw to your tripod, if it has a hole to receive a 3/8 or 1/2 screw maybe you could use the UNI 24?
