M42 (High Resolution) - Saturday 20-10-07

Been messing around with the raws from Saturday - I posted my results up from Thursday but luckily got another shot on Saturday so could use some of the things I learnt and had another crack at M42.

20 x 90seconds

20 x 90seconds darks

Stacked in Deep Sky Stacker

Using 350D and ED80

I'm really pleased with these results - I've also aligned the polar scope in my mount and can now get exposures of around 2-3 minutes without any trailing so going to try that next time

Thanks guys, I feel like I'm really getting to grips with everything at the moment - my mount is performing brilliantly, my warm room and observatory are all setup, the 350D is chucking out some great raws and I'm getting to grips with the processing, the plan is to now maximise that on lots of targets before possibly upgrading to a more sensitive ccd at a later stage....
