Need widefield... choices

Recommended Posts

My dads recently brought from me my Scopos 66 Petzvel - His managed to hook it up to my old motorised GT mount - its made a cracking grab and go widefield setup... really superb and his getting alot of fun from it - something similar might be worth contemplating?

Rob, I've got the Celestron 15x70's and they're cracking. Definately need a tripod though unless you have Schwarzenegger wrists.

But what you want (what you really, really want) is your old WO66 back isn't it....

Tony..

Yes I do!!....... the mak is narrow, good. But narrow. I have a limited budget now, this is why a ST80 was an option

Funny you should say that... I've just finished writting an email to the guy to say I'm interested... spooky!. I wonder if you could swap that 2" focuser out to a Crayford. Might look to do that when I've built some more funds up!.. (just not had a good time of late)

Cheers

Rob
