M33 - 350D - 2X APO barlow

Thought I would try a closeup using a 2X barlow.

350D , F12 ( 2X) barlow , 22 X 5mins , 800 ISO.

Auto guiding now works after all the recent problems.

Also took this object using the Atik 16HR using a focal reducer - needs more luminance data

John your images through the 350D are inspirational....

I just let the camera run for 2hrs - taking 5min exposures.

Only 2 frames out of 24 had to be rejected.

Its the LRGB stuff I need to practice - should have a LRGB version of M33 with the Atik soon

Pleased with the guiding as the telescope was operating at F12.

Strange weather in Peterborough - seems to best at about 2.30am

If I had waited an hour or so before starting - it would have produced an even better image.

Gave the processing a bit more of a push. Probably gone a bit too far

I think you have achieved an excellent capture of the subject there.

It's all a matter of personal choice of course but I do prefer the first picture,the second looks,to my eye,a bit noisey.

I hope you don't object but I despeckled the first image and did a shift from red to blue with increased luminecence just to see how it looked. I can't claim to have increased the quality it's just a personal perception of colour thing. Doubtless others will think otherwise but thats the thing with PS you can suite yourself.
