Groundhog Day Image

I think that i must be cursed with Galaxy imaging . Last night i was after M33 and could just not find it, I dont know why but there you go.

So AGAIN turned to scopes to M31

11x5 min subs on the ED80 with a 0.5 reducer,guided by the C8 and Qhy5

Nothing wrong with M31 Steve, and certainly nothing wrong with your image of it. At least your out there doing it, and you no what they say about practice making perfection.

A very nice M31, would like to see the difference if shot with the C8?

Why not try a mosaic of M31.

If you take images like the one above it will be a superb mosaic.... 8)

Think i prefer the ED80 shot! more detail,but maybe the C8 shot needed a bit longer exposure because of the 6.3 reducer? I think better stars though with the C8.

But great shots anyway well done.

Nice image , Steve.

Last night was so hazy that M33 was invisible even on 20 exp. with the 350D. Had to use star patterns to check I was in the correct place. It was only starting to become visible when the exp. was more than a minute.
