WASP-50b my first transit

Recommended Posts

I have not posted here in a very long time so here is to 2013. The other night I decided to see if my equipment would be up to the task of exo-planet transits. This was also my first time doing photometry. The equipment was the Celestron SP-C6 (6"F5 Newt.) on my modded Vixen SP with a Orion SSDS Mono Imager III. I used around 75x80sec exposures and put them through C-Munipack for the light curve. One problem was that before the transit started my guide camera died on me so this was unguided and I started only 4min before the transit, where I was hoping to get 1/2hr to 1hr of data before transit.

I think I have the exo-planet fever.
