Solar pics from space.

Where can you go to see solar images taken from space by the Nasa telescopes etc. Is there a website where you can view old and new pics or vids.

I use the Solar facility in Sat24, I do believe you may be able to view earlier images if you look round the site.

Look on the SOHO site, you can get near realtime images from the sat.

The SDO site is 1 of the best i know of. http://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/

Images are usually less than an hour old. Many different wavelengths to look at too using the drop-dwon menu .

Awesome and amazing stuff. I just watched the latest movie of the last few days from the LASCO C2. Fantastic footage of tremendous salar activity and lots of meteors thrown in. Definately a site worth visiting on cloudy nights.

Amazing site. Not only can you select different probes and the imaging devices, you can also specify a period in the past (and indeed, a region of interest) and it will create a movie for that period. You can lose hours on that site!
