Hi there as being new to astronomy i wonder if someone out there can help me my telescope came with the eq wedge etc i find it very difficult to get the initial alignment correct and so keeping the tracking correct.As my main interest is astro photography i would like to use a goto type of setup ie the eq6 mount.Is it possible to adapt my scope to this setup,and what extras would i need for this.Thanks for reading this post and Merry Christmas

It might be possible, there are two options to consider. The first is to add a dovetail to the ota, you will probably need to drill holes in the tube to mount the plate. The second option would be to purchase a pair of tube rings and a dovetail plate and mount the tube in the rings. You might be able to find some more information by googling deforking meade 2080.
