Plaides First Light with DSI

Finally got a few mins of clear skies last night. The seeing was terrible though, loads of sky glow! ANyway this is 17 frames of 15secs each, dark subtracted, stretched in Photoshop and a bit of smoothing with neat image.

Quite pleased considering the minimal effort I put in to this :D I kindof knew it was going to be nothing great due to the seeing. I also used a Neodynium filter and wonder if this is what is giving the colour cast? Anybody know how to remove it?

Blinky - You were lucky to get even a small gap in the clouds.

For 15 secs subs the image is fine - particularly for a first light. A bit soft - probably due to seeing.

There should be some nebulosity around the main stars and you've picked it up.

It's just a bit too purple. Perhaps light pollution at your site? This would add red to your image.

Don't know about the filter you used, but the CLS filter I've used tends to add blue to any image.

Try going into PS Colour Balance menu and reducing the red a bit.

A few more clear skies and you'll get some great images with the DSI
