Astro Imp
Well done, pleased you had some cloud free viewing.I had been out from sundown and Jupiter was shining brightly before it was properly dark, I thought this was going to be great night.Did a rough polar align and while I was in the area had a quick peak at Mizar/Alcor and while I was waiting for to get properly dark had some good views of Jupiter.Went in for dinner and like a chump didn't cover my finder and eyepiece so came out and everything was dripping with dew.Took them inside to dry out and came out to see cloud starting to drift in, didn't seem too bad but just as Orion was high enough to view completely clouded out.Still managed about ninety minutes all told, better than nothing!!! John
The Great Red Spot will be on show tonight. It hits the central meridian of the planet around 10:06 pm. Enjoy
