Hello from Chugiak, Alaska!

Recommended Posts

Just thought I'd say hello to everyone here.

I'm up in the frozen north where at the moment we have lots of darkness. I'm using a 10" dob and a CPC 1100. Both great scopes!

Thanks

Terry

Welcome to SGL.

It wasn't cold last night :) I was out until gone midnight with just normal socks and clogs on my feet. When your breath freezes on your mo, that's when it's cold :)

Hi there, you really have nice collection of photon-catchers. And some crazy dark skies to boot!

Glad to have you on board!

Hi Terry, welcome to the lounge ;)

I just popped out to have a look at Jupiter, between clouds, and it is blumming freezing outside; not as cold as Alaska obviously... :clouds1:

Hi Terry and welcome to SGL. Its -1 deg C in East Anglia UK tonight and I'm feeling a bit chilly. Not sure I'm made of the right stuff to do Astronomy through an Alaskan night?

Hi Terry and welcome to the forum. I don't we in the U.K fully understand what a real winter is compared to Alaska. Nice collection of scopes you have there and hopefully plenty of long dark nights to explore their potential.

Clear skies and enjoy the forum

James
