Yes I think you are heading down the right track Dunkster .

The generic 60-72mm doublets out there by various sellers are all great little scopes and the money saved from not getting a Takahashi FS60C will get you a tripod , eyepieces and probably 1/2 your fare ?? ( Did I really say that ? )

But seriously the Tak is ultimate but the Zenithstar type of scope is the way to go if your budget is smalish , good luck and please keep us informed as I , along with others here I am sure are enjoying this thread .
