This is an image from thursday night. A lack of internet connection means I've only just got round to posting this!

Its a single frame taken with the Canon 350 at prime focus using the cameras own dark frame subtraction.

Exposure time was 100 seconds @ ISO 400, should have been 800 but in my enthusiasm forgot to check first. :oops:

Processed in paint shop pro 9.

This was the first night out using the HEQ5 pro and a new observing site (forced by house move) so learning curves in abundance! :lol:

ISO 800 would have killed it if this is what you got at 400. The core is very bright and needs care to avoid burning it out, which you managed here. If you can do this by accident, keep at it and do some more.

The posted image is great, a tweak to reduce the core would possibly make it excellent.
