New visible planet discovered

k and B star has been discovered and the news has just been released. 1,700LY away it is visible from earth.

So good news. The used the Subaru telescope in Hawaii to image it over a few years and have brought out the images of the new planet. By blanking out the star itself they got to see a planet that orbits Formalhaut star in our own galactic neighbourhood.

I think this is a good find myself.

Also, i'm now officially a geek, since when i read about the mass i raised my eyebrows and thought "but that's about the mass where..." then i read the line after about him raising his eyebrows... Lol

Thats really interesting. I suspect the incredibly young age of both star (and therefore assume0 planet will have astro physicists pouring over data. It may provide some fascinating insight into the formation of our own system. His link to previously imaged planets was also interesting, have to be honest and say i didnt realise any images of exoplanets had been captured as of yet.
