Sky at Night Magazine Letter

The Sky at Night kindly printed my letter this month regarding viewing the sky from light polluted cities. Although they printed my photo of the Eiffel Tower, it didn’t actually show the ISS too clearly. If anybody is interested, here it is more clearly:

Kind regards,

Great capture! Paris would probably rank high on the LP list...

Did you know ISS was doing a pass at that time, or did you look it up later?

Very cool!

Hi, I had already made a note of the fly by times before our trip. I had also planned to image the ISS passing over the Arc de Triumph ton the second pass oo, but....er....I was standing on the wrong side of the roundabout... Note to self: learn what way is North!!!

You were lucky the Eiffel Tower wasn't doing its strobe flashing that occurs on every hour for a few minutes... Not because it's very bright but because it's covered by copyright laws and means no photos of it can be published .
