Summer sun

The last few days bad weather made me miss the sun. I took a look through my archive from this summer and found some data that I haven't processed. This image is from August 27. This day the Sun was very beautiful with many fine structures on the surface and with a giant protuberance visible at the bottom left of the picture. I have also put in a scale size of the Earth to more clearly illustrate how big this protuberance was.

When looking at this image, don't forget that you are actually looking at a real star. How cool isn't that!

Hopefully this image of the Sun will warm you a bit until we once again get to feel the sun's rays warm us up for real.
