Could dew free optics be made possible with nano materials?

I just came across this and it struck me that maybe some day we could see this type of nano-technology applied to optics. I for one live in a particularly humid spot and would gladly pay a lot more for eyepieces/finders/secondary mirrors etc. with dew-free optics. Do you think this will ever happen?

IIRC........a while back i went looking for materials online that could be applied to optics to stop moisture collecting on them. I was looking into them as part of a thread about designing your own EP.

There are already a couple of products on the market that protect optics (glass) against moisture. One of the most common uses is for car windscreens. Even in the heaviest of rains............water simply beads and runs off the glass. Self-cleaning glass on skyscrapers also employs the same technology. I dont think this stuff that i read about uses nano technology.
