The Brecons?

Late this week I am going gazing over the Brecons, but don't really know where. After a little bit of searching I am thinking of Llanthony or Hay Bluff. Does anyone have any suggestion?

Thanks

In general the further North you can head into Mid Wales the darker it will be. Brecon Beacons National Park is okay- but suffers from being too close to the South Wales conurbation on the all important Southern horizon. Elan valley area for instance is much darker.

I live pretty much central Hereford. I have moved from Wolverhampton, so even though the light pollution isn't good here, it's far better (even with the street lamp outside my house) than up there.

I have decided on going to Llanthony Priory. It's on the Brecon top ten places, it's not too far away, and I know the area as I have started a few walks over the mountains from there.

Thanks all!
