Skywatcher EQ3-2 Pro Mount clicking noise

Hi SGL,

Recently I have got a problem with my mount, the RA drive has started clicking/jumping over the drive cogs. I have been speaking to NickH and he has told me it is to do with the power box giving out incorrect commands to the drive motor, as this is a known problem the box has to be replaced has any one else had this problem before and been able to get a replacement box at not cost to themselves? I will speak to my supplier assuming I can find my receipt for the mount.

Any info would be most grateful on this subject.

As I said, Peter found this one with the autoguider, it's the MC box and OVL will swap it over

Any chance the the motor mount has slipped a bit. I had this and it needed adjusting to remesh the gears properly.

I had a look at the motor mount when I looked over the mount for any thing that looked wrong, the mounting blot for the motor was tight so it is not an easy fix like that, thanks for the in put BargeGazer. Hopefully as Nick said it is a problem with the MC Box and everything will get sorted out soon.

Is the problem solved by replacing the MC box?

I bought myself an EQ3-2 2 weeks ago as well and I have the same issue.

Clicking gearbox and vibration on my pictures :-(
