M27 - Wide Field - 22/09/07 - 350D

Hi all,

This is my first image after my laptop packed up.

I have got most things up and running appart from the automatic long exposure control. ( had to use the hand remote )

130mm APO at F6 , 15 X 2mins , Canon 350D at 800 ISO.

M27 looks quite lost and lonley out there in that wide-field view

Oh. man, I just love this little fellow. He is sitting there proud as Punch surrounded by all his starry pals.

Widefield sure does it for me. I don't need the reasons why you took this shot John, the fact is you did, and I am very pleased you did.

It is a little beauty.

Nice widefield, John - ah yes, hand shutter releases but then it keeps you out there looking rather than going in and watching the TV!
