NGC6946-LRGB

Hi all,

It's been an age since I had a chance to get out with the scope but last weekend I mannaged I managed two nights and some more last night.

This image was taken through my 10" Newt and HX916 CCD LRGB filters and an actronomik CLS lp filter

L = 98 @ 300 seconds

R = 6 @ 900 seconds

G = 18 @ 300 seconds

B 15 @ 360 seconds

I have just got a new pc after years ith a CRT monitor I have found it very hard to know what are gradents and what is down to the position I am viewing the new LCD montor at.

Yes Steve, HA is always worth the effort, although the ha regions have come through quite well with just the LP filtered red.

Really nice and such a lot of Luminance - Some lovely detail in your image with well balanced colours too. I envy you those clear nights although in fairness, tonight is pretty good here.

Yup, that really is nice with the field stars under control as well. The Ha on this one is spectacular. You'll love it!
