Observing session 22/9/12

To bridge the gap between the observing session in October and now we will hold another observing session on 22/9/12 at Blaenavon.I might not be at this one folks,so who intrested ?

Final wine club down our summer home in the west...I will definitely make an appearance once the autumns under way. End of sept the wife's away for a few days, the nights are getting shorter so up for a few mid week sessions.......it's a very lonely thing this astronomy lark at the moment lol

Just checked that Dean and it looks good,

Will make final decesion at 5:30pm which should give enough time for those that are travelling

I actually live in Pontyclun.. it might be quicker for me to go up the a470 by passing Merthyr and over the Heads of the Valleys road. My knowledge of those ares is pretty hazy to be honest. Thanks for the co-ordinates!

Google is saying it will be quicker via M4, Newport, etc. Any suggested meeting point?

If you go via heads of Valley, get to Brynmar and get onto the B4248 towards Blaenavon. go to the end of B4248 and at Texaco garage turn left onto B4246.

Keep going until MONMOUTHSHIRS sign then turn right towards Radio Arieals.

I will be there at about 7:45pm

The Meeting tonight is ON, weather looks good,

Will be a half moon until about 9:30 but it is low so not a lot of light

First stars should be visable from about 7:45.
