Ah yes, the Flying Bat. Super object. I got away with about half an hur per colour channel. Worth a go because this is great.

Blimey give us a chance

Unlike your half an hour Olly this is 2hrs 40 mins per panel (KAF8300 chip here!). It took a while to process having been shot with a full moon through most of it, and trying to mosaic it with differing colour gradients was not fun, this has been in and out of Pixinsight and Photoshop like a fiddlers elbow.

The red of the neb was not to bad - chuck the Ha into the red channel and you get - red, it was the stars that caused me problems, some panels were more washed out than others, so all the tools came out of the bag on them.

How did you add the Ha to red? It looks more like an image with Ha as luminance here but I gather I'm wrong? If you add Ha to red in Blend Mode Lighten it should leave the stars fairly well alone, I reckon.
