Which next step shall I take to improve image quality?

I've been taken with imaging the Sun recently and am wondering what I should do next to improve my images. Currently, I use a mono QHY5 with a cheapie Skywatcher barlow lens element screwed into the nose piece on a PST all mounted on an HEQ5.

I am thinking it maybe worth upgrading the barlow to something a bit higher quality. I need to have the barlow as the PST doesn't have enough inward focus travel.

Would a 2.5x powermate (or similar) be a good upgrade or is there something else that I should be considering?

Many thanks.
