It is because of him and others' after him that we can say that we have made "one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind". Rest in Peace.

I think that all he has achieved will ensure he lives on in the history of truly great human accomplishments.

My dad just told me. I was completely shocked. Came onto SGL instantly.

I hope a crater on the moon will be named after him. The Armstrong crater.

The first on the moon, forever on the moon.

A true loss. A great inspiration and example, not least due to the humility and modesty he had demonstrated since 1969. He will be remembered for as long as humanity continues to look up and wonder about the skies.
