Reading about the video this morning it was mentioned that it was put together from photos and not all were used hence the rapid descent towards the end.

I found it quite disorientating, too. One moment you think you're seeing the ground in fairly high detail and then all of a sudden that detail breaks up into much smaller bits and you realise you completely misjudged the scale.

Great to watch, nonetheless.
