I have a week off from the 26th and wanted to take me and my 6year old along with my scope to a safe campsite with clear views of the night sky,

Some where within a hour or so drive from widnes, cheshire. Any recommendations?

Cheers.

Thurstaston. Clifftop location, looking over to Wales and the Irish sea - very child friendly & has a play area & wooded areas for them to explore. Some of the pitches are off limits to caravans now in case they fall into the sea, but I reckon the wardens would let you set up a scope there if you asked nicely.

edit: forgot to mention that it's a Caravan Club site, so you'd have to be a member. Here's the website

I was looking for a dark camp site recently and found this one on the Llyn Peninsular, N. Wales. Not too far from Widnes. Not sure if it'd suit you but the skies look very dark.

It does look nice there! Just a little to far tho its 3 hours from me, maybea place i would visit on my own or with a friend. I dont like the idea of being to far away when taking my little girl with me.

Thanks for the camping website too il have a good read through that

Cheers!!
