I am otherwise engaged that weekend. Shame,as I grew up not far from Abergavenny and very rarely get back there, so it would be fun to visit.

I am going, just bought a ticket. Just hope the weather improves in two weeks time, its dreadful here today. The moon will be in the last quarter on the 7 & 8th September but will not be up until around midnight, so if all goes well I plan to tweek the autoguiding and get to learn how to use my SX OSC CCD.

The all night free BBQ, or the lecture by Pete Lawrence on the aurora.

I'm also looking forward to the Binocular observing masterclass. I'm gonna bring my 20x90's along on the night.

There is even an observing session later on with scopes from a dark sky location 1000ft above sea level. I might just take my Heritage 130P along for that also.

That looks interesting!! Anyone know how is get there by train? If I go I'd be alone and don't drive so need pretty good directions x

So it seems that some people are going, i am not sure about how to get there myself from London, paying for the ticket is fine, but the trains are too expensive for me at the moment..
