After looking through the star trails sequence i found a couple of meteors so thats meteors,NLC'S,faint aurora and a moonrise in one shot.

A first for me anyway :smiley:

The bright line at the bottom is a boat travelling through the Pentland firth between Orkney and Caithness.

It was taken with my trusty Canon 5DMKII and Canon17-40mm L combo.

Nice glass. Looking at some lenses atm, really tempted with the lower to mid range L's. Picture there deff' helps in decisions.

The 17-40mm L is well worth the money.I haven't come acros anyone who has a bad word to say about it.

The 17-40 was one of the first L series lens I bought many years ago and I still use it regularly. It's relatively slow at f4 but that's the only minor quibble I have with it
