First Light M31 with Modded Eos20d ED80 at F5

Well this is my first effort last night with the 20d after modifying it. I had a few problems getting used to dslrFocus and a problem with the USB to serial converter. Eventually sorted. So this was first target of the night.

10 x 2 min guided subs at IS0 800 ED80 6.3 FR no filter apart from the internal Baader one I fitted.

Processed in Deep Sky Stacker then DDP in Maxim and a fiddle in PS.

The colour isn't right and I cannot get it right. What shoild I do ?

It will be a belter when you do get the colour sorted John. Nothing wrong at all with the rest of the image.

I agree with Ron and in fact I like the false colour it gives the image impact. I tried a desaturated version in PS and it didn't look half as good!

It is a crisp image with lots of detail but an sharp IR filter will resolve the colour problem in future images.
