The Sun 5 August 2012 white light (with extras)

Recommended Posts

Today's Sun with some extra pictures of Active Regions taken with my new QHY IMG132E camera and a 2.5x Teleview Powermate attached to the 120 ED APO. Processed, with flat frames (which helped a lot!) in Autostakkert2 and wavelets done in Registax 6. False colouration ( a new method that I am working on - not quiter right yet!) and final sharpening in PS CS5. The full disc DSLR shots were taken at 10.00 in the morning and the AR close-ups were taken at 16.30 during a break in the clouds. Seeing was only fair to poor for both sessions.
