cantab Posted July 26, 2012 Share Posted July 26, 2012 Hey! I noticed it too! Had a look through the 10x50s, clearly wasn't very sharp so must be due to haze or light cloud. I briefly thought "is there an eclipse?" before remembering lunar eclipses have to be at full Moon! Also saw clouds clearly passing over the Moon's face, but the surrounding sky was featureless, there wasn't the contrast I'd normally expect between clouds and background sky.
