A bird strike

A bird strike of the kind that I see from time to time in a jet engine...

Fingers crossed this is work in progress. I have a two hour window on this one and conditions really have to be as good as they can when the eagle does its fly by low over the Rhone valley industries in the south - as viewed from my location.

I'm not sure what to say about this one. I think it looks a mess - but am still very happy indeed that it is at all possible to use a OSC on this in my usual smog.

Hopefully I'll get some more data this year so I don't have to use bulldozers in the processing... Some colour would be nice too...

After some spectacular failures on the Horse Head last year I'm glad to be taking on a nebular target again.

This is 1 hour 55 minutes with sig kit at f8, 1.6m. iOptron mount. 5 min subs.

Adding more data to this I wish the smog would clear but not just yet...

Now I'm at 6 hours 35 minutes.
