First view of Saturn through new scope!

I must admit that I was somewhat apprehensive. No need. I finally got my tracking working, got Polaris in the view of my scope eyepiece and only did a 1 star alignment. Off I went. Exploring the night sky with a handy goto system which is backed up by a very good 8" Celestron C8 XLT.

Put Saturn into the system and it found it within 10 seconds. Right in the centre of my 25mm eyepiece. I could see 4 moon, the gap between the planet and the rings as well as some surface detail on the planet. It was clear and crisp. I thought I would see what a 10mm + a 2x barlow lens would see and the planet looked massive. Albeit not the same quality but it was almost perfect. Just annoyed that I still haven't ordered my adaptor for my dslr camera yet. But believe me I will be ordering tomorrow.
