Helium Afternoon

NLO

Recommended Posts

On Saturday 7th July we are holding a Helium afternoon as part of our centenary activities.

The afternoon begins at 2:30pm and will include a talk about the discovery of Helium and other information about our sun, a planetarium show, and a visit to our historic telescopes.

We are hoping for clear skies and will have a selection of modern ways of viewing the sun through PST's, solar filters (homemade and bought), through projection of the sun and by looking at the spectra.

5 brave souls came, the rain has stopped but it is very foggy. Rivers either side of us (Newton Poppleford and Colyford) are both high which may have effected numbers.
