Yep, that's about what I use :) I've just today modded the handset to add an ST4 port (Shoestring Astronomy mod), so I may be guiding soon with any luck - I won't hold my breath though ;)

Good work, a lens is all I use these days for imaging, it's so much simpler and faster.

Just one comment regarding the "A" - autofocus setting locking the focus i position (if I've understood correctly); on Canon's I believe it would then try to auto focus each time an image was taken. I don't think focus slip is normally a problem as it's usually a twisting focusing ring, more usually it's the sliding zooms which slide back in when the camera is tilted.
