This is a fairly old thread but if anyone is still monitoring it...

I've got one and it has been quite a saga getting things how I want them.  The problems have mostly been to do with the Goto system which has not been properly thought through.  Fortunately I have access to tools.

On the plus side, the optical quality seems good and it really is a 16" telescope that is light enough for one man to manhandle unlike other inexpensive 16" Dobs out there where the ones I have noticed all have at least one very heavy part.

I'm sure that any experiences you have with this instrument would be of great interest if you have the time to post them. There is a very enthusiastic group of dobsonian enthusiasts here (including myself).

Agreed, Hubble-Optics is a naff name.  I guess it seems less naff in far east.

I shall make some posts about my machine.  It will be interesting to compare with other Dob stories.

Hmm! I had read somewhere that the problem with them was, them delaminating . Perhaps this issue has been sorted?

Golly, I hope they don't do that!  Is it possible that you are thinking of glued mirrors?  I assume that mine is fused rather than glued.
