Well it's looking good at the moment here 10 miles SW of Bristol ....

According to the Met, my bit is going to be clear tonight

yet on their satellite image, most of the country is covered in

and surrounded by swathes of cloud banks...

Maybe it's all going to melt away at 7 o'clock

Its supposed to be clear from 10pm here but what normally happens to me is that I check the sky it is cloudy so I do not put the scope outside to cool down and then when I let the dog out just before going to bed the sky is clear :x

Suggestion

1. leave scope outside to cool anyway

2. leave dog out all evening and train it to alert you when the sky is clear

the same source threatens me with a chance to see something more than orange skies.

But, just in case, don't suppose you have room in your garden for a tent?
