Only remember Hale-Bopp, it was before I had a scope or binos. I did manage to photograph it using my old trusty Praktica manual SLR, it's not a bad image for an amateur I suppose, I've uploaded it to my profile.

I'm with the crowd on this one. Hale-Bopp. I must have been around 12 at the time and it seemed to be in the night sky forever! (shame it wasn't!)

Hyakutake for me, the huge tail and the brief view as it was at the side of polaris

Saw HB in Portugal a year before it was naked eye and it was a great sight naked eye for what seamed months on end

but what about Holmes the sudden brightening and the expansion of the coma
