M8 Lagoon Nebula, DSLR

Recommended Posts

Managed to get a few hours in befor the rain. There's a few hot pixels that need fixing but its too late at night for that.

25x5min +20x30sec subs + darks @ ISO1600,

Modded 1000D @ -8degC

skywatcher 8in f5 reflector.

Celestron CGE mount.

Baader MPCC.

CLS-CCD LP clip in filter.

Stacked in DSS and processed in PixIsight.

Still looks ok at 100%

Very nice. I'm very impressed with what people have been pushing their modded + cooled DSLRs to do.

Perfect! Beautifully processed, tiny stars great detail and colour :)

I say perfect, but you could have rotated the camera 90deg...! ;)

Really nice. There's lots of detail in the nebula and probably more to come.
