the black spots this was my 1st pic off the sun with baader soer film.

That reprocess is great, lovely limb darkening some nice sunspots showing through as well.

Just used photoshop express

could I use registax6 or GIMP2 to process it in the same way.

Excellent focus. Your picture came out much better than my first attempts in prime focus Sun photos where I was holding camera body to the drawtube

That what I had to do I held my samsung ace mob to the eye e/p as you can see looked good when I enlarged it but then Chris did his magic with it and it was transformed
